Nana, we are blessed to have you as Ryleigh's Nana. Your home is always welcoming and a place of great comfort to me, to know Ryleigh's is safe and loved beyond words. I love beyond words. I love that we never has to bring anything over, and you wold always be prepared for your grand-baby. I know that Ryleigh will always be hugged and kissed and well taken care of. Ryleigh is only 2 months,  and even through I know he is safe and loved, it is still so hard to let him go but I value the relationship you will build with him. For that I will always protect and nourish your and his relationship. 

To my baby nephew Issiah, I was only 23 when you were born - a first time mom myself, and busy with your cousin Ryleigh. My days were hectic and the responsibilities of being a mom were overwhelming.  All the same, meeting you was the calm in my storm. You were such a happy and peaceful baby, and I am so thankful that I've been blessed with the chance to watch you and Ryleigh grow and learn together.  When I look at you too, I see an infinite number of possibilities. I can’t wait for  you both explore the world each day. I’m sure there will be laughing (and sometimes crying) at the things that you discover. Slowly you two will evolve into the person that you will be forever. As of right now, Ryleigh is 2 1/2 months and you are only 1 month old. Sure, minimum sleep and seemingly endless feedings have been thrown in there, but it's been mostly smiles and joy. You are an absolute delight. A boy whose big brown eyes and adorable smile fill a room and cause anyone whos see you to open their eyes wider and grin a little bigger. I stare at you in awe. I spend all those months of pregnancy wondering what you would look like, what color your hair and eyes would be, and here you are in front of me, more perfect than I could have imagined. Your head is perfectly round. Your nose is tiny. Your eyes are big and a beautiful dark brown. Your cheeks are rosy. Year ears are small and flat against your head. As a young child my brothers and I spent a lot of time with my mom's side of the family, aunts (Ruth, Becky, Liz, and Johanna) and their kids, my cousins (Michelle, Eric, Cali, Tim, then later on Susan, Lisa, Lonnie, Luke and Ivan, and then way later my brother Jared). At 2 months old I brought you to meet my aunt Liz and some other family member. They love you, of course. It was nice to introduce you to them. They held and kissed you, passed you around. Your family is important you must be willing to make an effort if you want them to say in your life.

This is your crazy family, and we are all in love with you. Grandma Debbie is in town to meet you for the first time. But she isn't the people one in town. So is Johanna (Grandma Debbie sister), and her husband Joe. Shaun was so happy to have you meet your family. He is so proud and so in love with you. 

Crested Butte, Colorado Snow falling,falling, To cover the ground below, In winter's glory. Ryleigh, you're my favorite person in the whole world and Crested Butte is one of my favorite places to visit in the whole world. I have so many memories here as a teenager. I can't wait to make memories here with you and we get to start these memories when you are just a bit over 1 month. Dad hated the drive, you were so little in the back of the car and all he could think about is your safety (counting the minutes until we got there). I couldn't wait to get to the mountain house and hold you. I thought I would want to ski but I didn't, I wanted to spend all my time with you. This time with you was truly precious to me and something I never want to take for granted. Dad was the same way.
