Long For The Flowers

Birthday in bed. Might be my favorite thing, well the wrapping really is the best. I am excited to share my love of comic book toys with you Ryleigh and to have you at my birthday party. This birthday for me was more about you than anything and that's the way I wanted it.

I've just finish your baby book from my pregnancy through your first 5 months.  Here's the thing. this book is not your first baby book. I started your baby book just a few months after you were born. It was so fun but I really didn't know that much about scrap-booking, I looking back I made one very big mistake... I didn't document big mile stones in your life or add your age.   Something else happened that led me to redo your baby book 15 years later... we lost most of your baby pictures. So, if a fire happened I would never be able to recover these photos. I knew I would have to scan all my scrapbook pages to protect our memories. So, it begins. And want should have become a day project lasted 5 months and a complete rewire on my scrap-booking brain.  I scan every page, took the pages a part and scan each photo, uploaded to the photos to the cloud, Printed new photos, scrap-booked new pages, blogged each event. It was a massive under taking but it...

I am not sure I was more scared when nana asked to take you to see your great grandma in Arizona. You were tiny only 8 months old, special because you are our first born son and you were going on a plane already. Good thing is that it sounded like you were oblivious to all the traveling and super cute so everyone loved you on the flight. In Arizona you met my aunt Rosemarie and my Grandma Muriel. They took you to a nut farm, where they should have stayed but then we probably would have has to come out to get you. Nana loved her daddy Charles, she loved his chair and while you were in Arizona you had to be in that chair to share her special memories of him with you.  In Arizona, nana couldn't put you on the ground. Not sure if it was because you were too special or the floor wasn't safe but had to snuggle you on the couch for nap time. I think, she wanted it that way, heaps of cuddles.  On your first trip you spent some good time with Great Grandma...

Sweet son, you drive your mama crazy! Crazy in Love. Crazy from lack of sleep. Crazy in energy as you get into every knock and cranny of this house - you totally keep me on my toes! But really, raising you everyday makes me crazy proud, maybe more than I have ever been before. Between you and your daddy who leads this family so beautiful, I am one very proud woman.

 Preseason Broncos football is upon us. It's a super nice August morning and we have you in the proper colors. I think the ground must of been cold, because you didn't like being on the nice grass at first. After a bit of time though, you warmed up to it and started taking some good professional pictures. There's one of smoking an invisible cigarette but joking aside those fingers are about to go into your mouth. Let's go inside and watch the Broncos game now.
