Welcome Home Ryleigh
Dad is wonderful with you. He wants you all of the time, changing your diaper, feeding you, napping with you and just being completely in love with you. I thought it would be harder the first days home but we are so in love with you that its easy.
Dear Chris,
When I look at you every day with our son, I'm reminded of how lucky I am to have you as my life partner. I still feel that same, thought-consuming attraction to you, although something has change now that we have a son, it's so much deeper now. Sure, I lucked out - you're insanely handsome, incredibly driven, and immensely funny - but building this life with you entirely on our terms is what I believe continues to fuel my attraction and love for you.
I look at you and see so much of what I hope our baby will be. I hope our child will be intrinsically motivated the way you are. I hope he will find passion and go for it. I hope he will be as considerate and intuitive in relationships as you are. I hope he loves the outdoors the way you do. I hope he loves music like we both do. I hope he gets your perfect nose and deep brown eyes. I hope he ends up with your athletic genes. I hope our child will carry kindness with him in all of his actions the way that you do every day. Thank you for being the amazing father I know you will be to him.
Dear Herb and Reta,
It's only been a week since you became grandparents for the first time. You sat in the waiting room for hours, sometimes patiently, other times not so much. You were excited and supportive, and that's all that we could ask for! When Ryleigh arrived, it was so special watching your face light up as the nurse placed him in your arms for the first time. I knew you were going to be inseparable. I knew I could trust you both to love him forever and never hurt him.
Over the last couple days I know you couldn't wait to come visit your new grand-boy. Papa couldn't get enough of Ryleigh, he constantly had him in his arms or on his lap. You always helped me with Ryleigh (of course), but you also helped out with the house and cooking for us. i wasn't good at showing how much I appreciated but I feel blessed that he get to call you his grandparents.
