I wasn't able to go to the hospital to see you because Ryleigh was just over 1 month old. But I couldn't wait to see you.

Dear Nephew,

You're here! You finally made it. Welcome to our crazy, dysfunctional and loving family. Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but we're a bunch of weirdos. But hey, you will never be bored.

I'm your aunt, which means I'm super fun and you can always come to me if you need anything. I'm here to play with you when you're bored and cheer you up when you are sad. I can love you more than anything in the world, and protect you almost as well as mommy and daddy can.

You're only a few days old right now, so you have no idea what is in store for you. A life of love, laughter, and happiness is what your future holds nephew. Your uncle Chris and I, love you so much, and will do anything to give you the best life possible. Yeah, we will be overbearing and protective, but it's because you are the most precious thing.

You can't choose your family, but we're glad you've joined ours.

If you ever want to relax, nap, hang out, or talk, you can always come to me. If you want to go on adventures, walks, play a game, or just want to give mom and dad a day off then you can always count on your aunt.

You are loved very much nephew, and you always will be.
