Always buzzing with activity on a sunny day, St. Kilda  Beach is a great place to meet people. The adjacent bike paths make it a fine place for cycling, rollerblading or just a leisurely walk, but  many choose to simply lie back and soak up the sunshine. Only 20 minutes from the city centre by tram.

St. Kilda Pier

This historic pier provides outstanding views of the city skyline and is a popular place to promenade. At the end of the pier is a replica of a Victorian kiosk, which serves light meals and snacks. The prospect of spotting the little  penguin colony on the nearby breakwater is an additional draw for visitors.
