Long For The Flowers

I'm finally getting back into my hobbies and even trying new hobbies like sewing. I got out my scrap-booking stuff and started back at it. I have a lot to catch up on..  Athena our American Friend here in Australia with us, got my interested in Quilt Making. It's a simple pattern of 3in x 3in squares. I started my making a quilt for my neice Athena in the States. I was very excited to make this for her.  Our friends Chuck and Sharyl in the States are having their first baby, so I thought it would be fun to make their baby a quilt too. I hated these colors together so I'll be starting over again.  Even Layden got into the fun and made his bestfriend Lily a special friendship card. 

We have been in Melbourne Australia now for 4 months and I have not had the courage to get my hair done. When I courage its because getting my hair done in Australia is unfamiliar so I put it off. Luckily for me, the other day at school I meant an other parent who just open up a hair salon near me. She was so happy to schedule an appointment while we waited for the kids to get out of school. I was a bit nerves but it needed to be done.  Got the salon, immediately was given wine and a coffee. Yes both. Had a great time drinking while getting my hair, the only problem is at 2: 30 when I had to leave to get the boys from school I was feeling GOOD. Luckily I walk everywhere.  Plus a computer to play on.  And if you get your hair done, you have to go out that evening.  Dad and I meant up with a couple of friends for dinner. It was a lovely night other than missing my boys and wondering it they like the new sitter.  ...

This is the first time we are taking the kids to Sea World. So Chris and I are so excited to experience with the boys. Feeding the String Rays. The jump out of the water to get their food.  Ryleigh loved feeding the biggest one. We ran out of food many of times, but the boys wanted more and more. Feeding the String Ray so the greatest.  The boys went to the private ship where they had a water gun fight. They came off drenched, and incredibly happy. Dad jumped on to help the boys soak the other boats. Picture time.  Ryleigh wanted to ride the big roller-coaster. So Chris took him while Layden and I watched.  Going upside down. This is the face of a kid who loved the ride. So much so he went on the ride 3 more times.  To keep Layden happy I got him the largest drink possibly. Lunch time. The boys wanted corn dogs. Trying to keep ketchup off his forehead. How does he miss his mouth Large fish tank. The boys love it. We watched and named the fishes. Looked for shark...
