Royal Melbourne Zoo

Two of the other american families and I took all the (5) kids to the Royal Melbourne Zoo for the first time. It was more than I expected even through we didn't see all of it. We had a great time and the boys were all smiles and laughter.

We all meant at Federation Square Train Station to take the train to the Royal Melbourne Zoo. I had not travel alone as far without Chris but I was ready for the adventure. The boys were just happy to see their friends and go to the zoo. Actually Layden, he loves animals.

When we got to the zoo the first thing the kids wanted to do when we got their is run and play. Most likely due from sitting on the train for so long.

Melbourne Zoo is very large and with 5 small kids, there was no way we would see it all. So the plan was let the kids explore and we just follow along. I knew Chris really wanted to see the zoo so we would be back soon.

Layden was the first to see the animals and the last to leave. I believed he loved every single animal he saw but the ones he really loved he asked to come home with us.

Royal Melbourne has over 320 spices of animals. This is an Emu.

A couple of the other kids had cameras to take pictures of the animals with. I couldn't help but to ask myself why I didn't think of that. So ever once in a while the boys would ask to take a picture. This is a tree Ryleigh took a picture of.

It didn't take long before the kids would come across an area to play in. They all loved to see the animals but preferred to run and play.

Every once in a while I could get a picture a good picture of the kids but unfortunately my camera was not set up correctly and the pictures would come out blurry or blue.

The other families for America. Amanda, Trinity, and Athena (I think that is her name, in the purple)

Athena's daughter Nora

A tree root natural playground. The kids went crazy over it. And now at this time they have an imaginary game they are all playing.

Why did we go to the Zoo, we should have gone to the play. Seal Playground. Ryleigh is a seal.

We finely made it to the sea creatures. Layden loves the water and tried his hardest to touch every stingray that passed by.

Group photo. No. Maybe. Ok. At least Ryleigh is looking in my direction.

Reptile Nursery.

Layden is in heaven. He thinks we are taking one home. I would tell him no but I'm worried about the crying for hours... so I'll lie. "They can't come home until they are a bit longer, so we can have one when we could back with daddy. " I'll let daddy handle this.

Layden hopes the turtle we get is as large as this one.

I love all the natural walking trails.

We are walking through a cage to see the Lions. It is so cool.  The lions can get so close to you. It was incredible.

The only thing between that lion and us, is this chain fence.

Dingoes.

Hey, I know this animal, it's from Colorado. Brown Bear.

Bird Cage.

Look at these cool cats.

Layden's picture of the peacock.

Sitting in the middle of the walking path just have a conversation.

Monkey's playground.

water must play in it.

Learning amount the monkey. Layden likes their teeth.

Over walking pull me.

Layden wants in but Ryleigh said no.

Layden sat an watched this duck for a long time.

Caves to explore

Birds are cool looking

Trying my hardest to get a good picture of the kids.

Look at all those huge birds.

Layden found a turtle

I love the information signs.

Of course the kids wanted to pet (chase) the birds, but they all watched instead.
