Ryleighs First Rockies Game

Image
Nana and Papa wanted to take us to a Rockies and  I was pumped because what’s not too like about being In downtown Denver. Eating at Breckenridge brewery  on a nice sunny May day in 2004 was great and we got  to our seats early. Mom and I decided to shared holding  you in the carrier and since you were little that made  things easy for us. Our seats, things got even easier this Time around because you feel right asleep and stayed  That way for a long time. It was funny because the last Time we took you to a game, it was a Broncos game but You were in mom’s belly and she didn’t get to sit down  Once. She was completely uncomfortable and we left Early. This time was a way better game for all of us.

Ryleigh's first Easter... He's a Bunny... hehehe

I kept wondering when the wonderment of being your mother would wear off. I  learn something new every day, I've come to the conclusion that life with you will always be filled with amazement.  It's your first Easter, and yes... I dressed you like a bunny!!! You were so cute. We spent the day with Nana and Papa eating and playing cards. And of course, you were the highlight of the Day.

Nana's Boy

Another time we went to Nana's and Papa's house, Papa had gotten you a new walker which is working to help strengthen your legs. You started bouncing around and had the biggest grin on your face, so this was definitely a great buy. It's great to have family adore you like we do, plus it helps mom and I have date time together. Today you bounce, yell, then suck your fingers and yell and laugh. It was fun to watch.  Nana and Papa live in Aurora (which is about 35 to 40 minutes away), kinda far away from us but Nana has to have you every other weekend. Having you in the house with them is great. They completely focus on you while you are over and this weekend. Uncle Z came by hang out with them and to see you.

Some days, I'm doing well enough just to get through the daylight hours with you alive and fed.   Those are the times when the lack of sleep and constant attention gets the most out of me. Most days I'm drowning in laundry and cleaning up mess after mess.   During those times, I leave the TV on all day and never change out of my pajamas.   And when Chris get home from work in he will find food delivery on the table instead of a home-cooked meal. But really something I need to run from the messes and the never ending 'To Do List' and go spend the day with family at the park. The mess will be there when I get home.  Shauna with Blake Brenden holding Ryleigh Shauna and Ryleigh Brenden and Blake Dillon

Thank you, these two small words that hold such strong significance to me. When it come to you Ryleigh, our relationship will never been picture perfect. In fact I have spent majority of my life loving and losing those I have loved. This letter to you is 15 years after these pictures were taken. These were your cousins for a short time (Dillon 3.5, Blake 1.5, and Logan 9 months). They were part of a family that I loved and considered to be my home, I  felt like they adopted me in. I don't truly understand why we had a falling out but it still hurts to this day. I wish they got to know you, there is so much to love. Growing up I fell in love with rollerblading and riding  horses with my friend Shauna, I would scrap my knees but always get back up, when I was unable to do my math homework, she was there to help,  and when I had a bad day she was always there to make me laugh, and when my parents has abandoned me they took me in and let me be a part of their family. Unf...
