First Day Eloring in Melbourne
We got in Melbourne on May 3, lost a day in traveling, checked into the hotel, and needed food. Of course the only place the boys wanted to eat was an American burger joint, Soda Rock on Chapel Street. We ate, went back to the hotel and slept for 19 hours. The jet-lag was bad!!!!
Our first day exploring Melbourne... Breakfast
Found a great cafe and enjoyed our coffee in a glass cup, which I found to be a little different than our American coffee cups but it was so incredible. Also had our first taste of their muffins and chocolate and we were in heaven.
What did we start??? Hot Chocolate... Fruit.... Muffins... what more could he ask for?
Exploring Melbourne.
South Yarra Train Station. 1st Tram Ride.
Boys were so excited to ride on the Trains and Trams. I was nervous we were going to get lost.
Here we go. Where will this journey take us.
The Architect was incredible.
Waiting for the tram... Really cool tree...
I was mesmerized by the trees, I think the boys were too. The trees were so different then the trees in Colorado.
Four trams and an hour of walking later we found St. Kilda Beach. We also found out it should have been 15 minutes on one tram. Even with getting lost on our way, our adventure to St. Kilda was exciting and the boys loved every turn. It was a beautiful moment as Chris and I began to see the smallest things become magical to the boys. Everything was exciting from the tram ride to the size of a large leaf, or all the different tree we spotted.
Ryleigh and Layden loved the beach. They spent most of their time finding seashells but Layden did take every opportunity to run after the birds.
Weather coming in.

A journey of a life time. Who better to spend it with then you.
Finding Seashells.
Seashells
Melbourne is the coastal capital of the southeastern Australian state of Victoria. At the city's centre is the modern Federation Square development, with plazas, bars, and restaurants by the Yarra River. In the Southbank area, the Melbourne Arts Precinct is the site of Arts Centre Melbourne – a performing arts complex – and the National Gallery of Victoria, with Australian and indigenous art. What a wonderful place to live in and explore with our family. Our first day of explore has been magical and unforgettable.
